Together, We're Shaping the Future of Healthcare
The future of healthcare depends on the power and potential of nursing. For over 130 years, Columbia Nursing has prepared nurses to lead with knowledge, compassion, and purpose. As healthcare evolves—with an aging population, rapid advances in technology, and persistent health disparities—our students are ready to navigate complexity, improve lives, and shape the future of healthcare. Your support makes their journey possible.
Your Gift Impacts the Power of Nurses to Advance Health
Nurse Leader Graduates
Nearly 80 percent of our students receive financial aid. Your gift to the Scholarship Fund expands access to a Columbia Nursing education, reduces financial barriers, and helps exceptional students graduate with less debt, ready to lead where they are needed most.
Through the Dean's Discretionary Fund, you make possible initiatives like the Pathways to Leadership and Advancement in Nursing (PLAN) program, which provides financial support, mentoring, and leadership development. The fund also gives Dean Lorraine Frazier the flexibility to respond to students' most pressing needs.

Knowledge That Transforms Care
Columbia nurses are more than clinicians and caregivers—they are scientists, innovators, and leaders advancing the knowledge that transforms care. Through research that improves nursing practice, enhances patient outcomes, and informs health policy, our faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students are transforming healthcare in communities across the United States and around the world.
Your support of the Nursing Research Fund fuels the discoveries and innovations that help solve real-world challenges and improve the delivery of patient care, like human-centered AI in nursing care.
Expand Global Perspectives
Since 2015, Columbia Nursing’s Global Fellowship has given more than 300 students the opportunity to learn within healthcare systems around the world, including Ghana, The Gambia, Italy, India, Brazil, Spain, Jamaica, and Kenya. Each year, 40–50 fellows are selected for a six-week clinical practicum that broadens their perspective and deepens their clinical understanding.
Your gift to the Global Fellows Fund helps cover airfare and travel expenses. Fellows return with a lasting appreciation of global health that shapes how they serve their communities throughout their careers.
