Training Tomorrow’s Changemakers
Supporting Our Students
Scholarship support matters. A world-class public health education should be accessible to all students, regardless of their financial circumstances, and our graduates should be unburdened by loan debt so they can pursue the service-oriented careers that align with their values. The future of public health depends on Columbia Mailman’s passionate, capable students—and we want to inspire and encourage a diverse new generation of leaders.
Funding Student Field Experiences
The Applied Practice Experience (APEx) is crucial to the Columbia Mailman student experience, allowing students to work alongside public health professionals to address real-world issues. Whether they pursue their APEx in New York City, elsewhere in the US, or abroad—working in community-based organizations, government agencies, laboratories, health systems, or international NGOs—students need stipend support so that they can choose opportunities that complement their interests and classroom studies, help build their careers, and advance the science and practice of public health.
