Columbia Mailman School of Public Health

Public Health is EVERYTHING

STUDENT ScholarshipS

Scholarship support makes a Columbia Mailman education accessible to qualified students regardless of their financial situation and relieves them of financial strain following graduation. Scholarships make a career dedicated to service accessible to more of our future public health leaders. Your support helps both our students and the communities they will serve following Commencement.

The Columbia Mailman Community Support Fund provides flexible funding to respond to the emerging needs of our most financially fragile students. Your support helps us to offer relief for personal emergencies and other unforeseen expenses, so that our students can focus their attention where it's needed most: advancing the next century of public health research and knowledge.

Practicum StipendS

The Applied Practice Experience (APEx)—formerly known as the practicum—is a required component and highlight of the student experience at Columbia Mailman. The Practicum Stipend Fund allows students to pursue practicum experiences that match their aspirations without worrying about how they will financially support themselves.

Public health is everything.

More good years with the people you love. Safe water from the tap, and clean air to breathe. Vaccinations. Reduced gun violence. Reproductive rights. Safer commutes. A livable climate. Public health is everything that makes life longer, healthier, and better for millions around the world.

At the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, it is everything we stand for, and everything we do.

In the 100 years since our founding, we have responded to emerging crises, tackled entrenched challenges, and increased the lifespan by 30 years. As we embark on our second century, bigger, better advances are within our reach—all of which will help us to attain our goal of making those 30 extra years healthier and more productive.

This Giving Day, show your support of public health. Every gift—of any amount—to Columbia Mailman is an investment in our students, our research and our commitment to building a healthy and just world.
