Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation

Alumni-Supported Scholarship Funds at GSAPP

With the help of alumni and friends, the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) has been able to increase annual financial aid disbursements to its Masters students by 25 percent. As the School continues to work toward long-term solutions for reducing student debt, we invite you to contribute to current use funds that can be used immediately to support current students. Alumni may give to the general GSAPP Scholarship Fund as well as specific program(s) listed in the drop-down menu of the giving form.

The Norma Sklarek Scholars Fund

Norma Merrick Sklarek ’50 B.Arch was the first Black woman to receive a fellowship by the American Institute of Architects in 1980 and one of the first African-American women to found and manage an architectural firm. Last year, the School welcomed its first cohort of Norma Sklarek Scholars—emerging practitioners of color studying at GSAPP—to honor her achievements and acknowledge the barriers she had to overcome.

We invite alumni and friends to join the School in establishing an endowment to make this initiative permanent. All gifts to the Fund will contribute to the principal amount.
