Columbia University Center for Veteran Transition and Integration
Serving Transitioning Veterans Wherever They Are
The Columbia University Center for Veteran Transition and Integration (CVTI) is a national center of excellence that has empowered over 150,000 veterans and transitioning service members in their educational and vocational pursuits. CVTI's founding efforts have focused on leveraging innovative educational technologies and content expertise to develop and deliver best-in-class, accessible, zero-cost support programming to service members and veterans at key moments of transition: accessing higher education, succeeding in the college classroom, and securing meaningful civilian employment. We democratize high-quality transition assistance by getting it into the hands of military-connected women and men no matter where they are, no matter their circumstances, and no matter what stage of transition they are in.
At CVTI, we believe that the most effective, scalable way to ensure high-quality support for veterans and service members as they transition from the military to higher education and workforce settings is to ensure high-quality support for the professionals, institutions, and organizations that serve them where they live, work, and go to school. By embracing the transformative work of capacity development for VSPs—veteran serving professionals—we strive to change the landscape of military to civilian transition in America for the better.
