Help Build a Campus Where Students Live and Learn Well

Develop Student-EMS Capacity
Columbia University Emergency Medical Services (CUEMS) is a free, confidential, student-operated ambulance service supervised by Columbia Health. It is New York State-certified and available 24/7 for the Columbia community. They provide basic life-support, prehospital emergency medical care, ambulance transport to appropriate hospitals, and can facilitate speedy referrals to other Columbia resources. You can support CUEMS by ensuring students’ equal access to participation, equipment upgrades, and participation in the premiere collegiate EMS conference.

Grow Wellness Coaching Services
Wellness Coaching pairs students with a certified Well-being Advocate who supports them in setting and achieving their personal well-being goals in a collaborative and non-judgmental environment. They work together to develop a custom plan that centers the student’s individual strengths, values, and motivations. The Advocate supports the student throughout their journey, there to celebrate wins, troubleshoot challenges, and help them stay on track. Your support enables us to increase staffing and train Well-being Advocates to provide this high-demand service to more students.

Advance Community Public Health
Columbia Health has long supported community public health through continuous program growth and innovation. Opportunities exist to build on past successes (e.g. life-saving opioid education and naloxone training program) and you can partner with Columbia Health to advance public health offerings. Your support will help expand our University-wide initiatives, specifically offering more CPR training classes and piloting Mental Health First Aid, an evidence-based, early-intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges.
