Every day, faculty, staff, and students at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons work toward our mission to transform human health by driving scientific discovery, advancing care, and educating leaders. We are also identifying new ways to join forces with our neighbors in northern Manhattan to improve health among residents in the surrounding neighborhoods we serve. Together, we are setting national and global standards for advancing biomedical research, patient care, and education, while also shaping the future of medical education and research at Columbia as we train the nation's top clinicians and biomedical researchers to not only practice medicine, but change it.
