Why Does Columbia Women's Soccer Need My Support?
Your gift to Columbia Women's Soccer supports the program in a variety of ways. In particular, it is used to help our program travel and compete at the highest level against top 25 teams in the country to prepare us for the Ivy League and NCAA tournament. This year we are traveling to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt and Tennessee Tech. We are also packing our bags for UNC Chapel Hill and Penn State. These trips are imperative to taking our program to new heights nationally and creating a culture and connection that is part of what makes our program unique.
This year, your support is also used to help invest in AI video technology (Veo) to have access to training video as well as game footage to improve our tactics and player analysis and development. Players have daily access to footage on iPads, computers, or TVs. Your gift goes directly to help our program pursue its goals of regional and national recognition, along with championship-level performance to make you proud. How Will I Make an Impact?
This year your support will have a direct impact on the student-athletes' daily experience. We have invested in updating our soccer locker room with new wooden lockers, carpet, signs, and recliners for relaxation. The locker room also offers a cupboard full of on-the-go snacks, shakes, fruit, and a fridge full of many other things, all provided by donations to our team. Your gifts offer our athletes Nike equipment that includes new cleats, sneakers, and additional apparel that we love and helps us look good, feel good, and play well!
In addition, your gifts have helped us add a much needed additional coach to our staff who is available for our student-athletes and coordinates our social media and many inside tasks necessary to improve the player experience. This coach is a fully fundraised position and needed to help us continue to compete at the highest level. With your gift we can continue to offer the players unique experiences, like going to a professional women's soccer game, and adventures and entertainment in Nashville. Your support has been able to make an impact and help create a team culture and a standard of excellence to be proud of.
