Why Does Columbia Field Hockey Need My Support?
Contributions from Columbia Field Hockey supporters help fulfill programmatic expenses for the upcoming year above and beyond our central University support. Those gifts are critical in meeting our operational budget needs, including travel, equipment, nutrition, and resources to support our student-athletes. Any gift makes an impact on the future of the program!
How Will I Make an Impact?
Columbia Giving Day is a massive day for our program. Our Columbia Field Hockey family has rallied around this program every Giving Day and we are incredibly thankful for all of the support shown to our program and women. Every gift our program receives directly impacts our student-athletes both on and off the field. Below are specific ways your gifts benefit our women:
• Video referral system: this past season has proven that our Columbia Field Hockey field needs this crucial, game-changing tool in order to ensure quality umpiring and fair results. ($20,000)
• Out-of-region travel: traveling to play top Division I competition improves our program each year. Your donations go directly toward funding these trips so we can continue to compete at the highest level. ($10,000-$15,000)
• Field equipment: goal cage improvements, field improvements, press box improvements ($500-$5,000)
• New team gear: want to see your Lions in something other than the traditional Blue & White? This gift will provide us the opportunity to showcase a special color palette for select games next season ($3,000)
• Spring cross-training opportunities: SoulCycle, kick boxing, and CrossFit to keep our athletes fresh in the off-season ($50-$2,000)
