The Columbia Global Centers promote and facilitate the collaborative and impactful engagement of the University’s faculty, students, and alumni with the world, to enhance understanding, address global challenges, and advance and share knowledge.
The Global Centers have expanded our mission and purpose since the Coronavirus pandemic began last year. In a time when it was largely physically impossible to "connect the local with the global," the Centers have hosted or co-hosted over 400 webinar events, bringing together leading minds from inside the broader Columbia community and from fields as varied as New York Times relationship journalists to experts on the future of work. We have provided safe study spaces for Columbia students around the world, launched a scholarship program for students displaced by conflict, climate, and economic insecurity, and continued advancing our research efforts from Columbia faculty both near and far.
Your support can help the Global Centers continue these initiatives and produce research on relevant and timely topics ranging from global pandemics, forced migration, to right-wing extremism, to climate change.
